Choosing a journal

This learning object is a guide to selecting a journal to publish in. The guide is developed by Research Service at the Royal Library, Copenhagen University Library.

We have experienced that choosing a journal can be overwhelming and complex for new authors. Therefore we have tried to make a five-step, easy to read guide that includes tips and reflective questions on knowing your audience, where to browse and search for journals, how to assess the journal quality and integrity, where to find the journal’s policies and what to pay attention to, and finally where to get help.

The guide is targeted authors affiliated to Copenhagen University. In this post you’ll find the final version of the guide and an editable version that you are welcome to fit to your organisation and services.
